Thirty Years as Chief Minister: Nara Lokesh Showers Praise on N. Chandrababu Naidu
On the occasion of thirty years since N. Chandrababu Naidu first took oath as Chief Minister, his son and Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh paid glowing tributes to his father’s leadership and vision. Marking this historic milestone, Nara Lokesh shared a special post on social media, extolling N. Chandrababu Naidu’s statesmanship and transformative role in shaping the state’s progress.

Nara Lokesh described this period as an era that redefined Andhra Pradesh’s ambitions, translating aspirations into reality and establishing strong institutions. He stated that by integrating technology into governance, attracting investments, and creating jobs, N. Chandrababu Naidu laid a solid foundation for the state’s future.

Highlighting landmark initiatives, Nara Lokesh noted that projects such as HITEC City and Genome Valley positioned Andhra Pradesh as a leader in the technology sector, while the vision of Amaravati symbolized the aspiration for future-ready urban centers. He emphasized that his father’s governance combined speed with accountability, building platforms that empowered both citizens and enterprises. He further praised N. Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts in implementing poverty alleviation schemes and reservation policies, which he said strengthened social justice and uplifted marginalized communities.

Special mention was made of N. Chandrababu Naidu’s work on irrigation in Rayalaseema. Nara Lokesh recalled that by bringing Krishna waters through the Handri–Neeva project and key lift linkages, the drought-prone region witnessed greening of vast farmlands across Kurnool, Anantapur, Kadapa, and Chittoor. He stated that this effort ensured drinking water, multiple crop cycles, filled village tanks, and stabilized farm incomes. He added that upcoming projects like Polavaram and Banakacherla would further transform Rayalaseema into what he described as “Ratnalaseema.”

Reflecting on their personal bond, Nara Lokesh wrote, “At home, I call him ‘Nanna’ (father), and at work, I call him ‘Boss’—that is my privilege. He is young at heart but seasoned with experience, always ready to face new challenges with clarity, courage, and conviction.”
