A Grand Celebration of NTR Film Awards in Hyderabad
A special ceremony was held in Hyderabad to mark the 102nd birth anniversary of legendary actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. The event, organized by Kalaavedika in association with the Telangana Department of Language and Culture, took place at Prasad Labs and was notable for honoring not only luminaries from the film industry but also distinguished officers from the Indian Armed Forces.

On this occasion, under the leadership of Kalaavedika founder Bhuvana Rayavarapu and in alignment with the ideals of senior producer R.V. Ramanamurthy, the organization introduced the 'NTR Desh Rakshak Awards'. These awards were presented to officers from the three branches of the Indian Armed Forces in recognition of their exceptional service to the nation. Among the recipients were Major General N.S. Rao, Major Bharat, Group Captain P.R. Prasad, and Captain T.N. Saikumar, all of whom played significant roles in 'Operation Sindoor'. The awards were presented by prominent guests during the ceremony.

The same event also witnessed the presentation of the NTR Lifetime Achievement Awards, given by Kalaavedika, to senior producers N.R. Anuradha and Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao. In addition, the guests unveiled a special edition titled Nata Sarvabhoumudu, published by Kalaavedika and dedicated to the life and legacy of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

Speaking at the event, Nandamuri Mohanakrishna, son of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and a noted cinematographer, expressed his pride in being born to such a great personality. “It is indeed a rare feat for someone from a humble farming background to rise to become a legendary actor and an exceptional leader who served as Chief Minister,” he stated.

He recalled that Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao had shown a deep commitment to public service even during his acting career. Mohanakrishna noted that his father led relief efforts during times of drought, storms, and war, raising funds and standing firmly in support of the government. “He was a pioneer of many welfare schemes that we still speak of today,” he said.

Bhuvana Rayavarapu, who organized the event, was commended for orchestrating a meaningful tribute that honored real-life heroes in memory of an iconic figure like Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. The program served as a vibrant testimony to NTR’s multifaceted genius and enduring inspiration.
