Malayalam film ‘Pendulum’ explores dream manipulation—premieres May 22 on OTT
Movies exploring themes like one soul entering another body, or the concept of time travel from the present to another era, have continued to captivate audiences. Viewers have consistently welcomed films that present fresh and intriguing content. However, films built around the idea of intentionally entering another person’s dream—a concept not commonly seen in Indian cinema—are rare.
Dreaming is a natural human experience, and the appearance of others in one's dreams is also a common occurrence. But what if it were possible to consciously enter another person’s dream or invite someone into one’s own dream? What consequences might such an extraordinary possibility lead to? These are the questions at the heart of the film Pendulum.
Directed by Reshin Babu, this Malayalam-language film explores the concept of lucid dreaming and time travel. The narrative revolves around these complex themes to offer a unique cinematic experience.
Pendulum stars Vijay Babu and Anumole in lead roles. The film was released in theatres two years ago and is now set to premiere on the streaming platform ETV Win on the 22nd of this month.
The story follows a doctor named Mahesh Narayan who embarks on a leisure trip with his family. What happens during this journey, and the series of events that unfold thereafter, form the crux of the plot.
