Telugu Talent Shines in IFS: Nikhil Reddy from Miryalaguda Secures 11th Rank
Candidates from the Telugu-speaking states have demonstrated remarkable performance in the final results of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination – 2024, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Out of the total 143 candidates selected nationwide for the IFS, more than ten are from the Telugu states, underscoring their growing presence in prestigious civil services.

Chada Nikhil Reddy from Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district has emerged as the top performer from the Telugu states by securing the 11th rank at the national level. The UPSC’s recently released list of final results features several Telugu candidates with high ranks.

Alongside Chada Nikhil Reddy (11th rank), other top-ranking candidates from the region include Yeduguri Aishwarya Reddy (13th rank), G. Prashanth (25th rank), Cheruku Avinash Reddy (40th rank), and Chintakayala Lavakumar (49th rank). Additional successful candidates include Atla Tarun Teja (53rd), Alapati Gopinath (55th), K. Udaya Kumar (77th), and T.S. Shishira (87th), each securing commendable positions in the IFS merit list.

Nikhil Reddy is the son of Chada Srinivas Reddy and Sunanda, both government schoolteachers in Miryalaguda. He completed his Computer Science Engineering from IIT Delhi in 2018. After a brief stint in the software industry, he resigned from his job to pursue a career in civil services. Reflecting on his success, Nikhil Reddy stated that he achieved this milestone due to the encouragement and support of his parents. He expressed that being selected for the Indian Forest Service has boosted his confidence and reaffirmed his ultimate goal of becoming an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, which he is determined to accomplish.
