Police Must Be More Vigilant Than Ever Before: Pawan Kalyan
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan emphasized that police personnel in the state must display the same level of vigilance in matters of internal security as the armed forces do while guarding the nation's borders. He said that southern states have become sensitive targets for terrorist activities, and in this context, he has written a letter to alert the state’s police machinery and administrative staff.

Speaking to national media at Gannavaram Airport, Pawan Kalyan recalled previous terrorist attacks in Coimbatore and Hyderabad, expressing his distress by stating, “Even today, the memory of those incidents makes my heart sink.”

He stated, “In light of the presence of suspected terrorist elements in the state, I have requested the Director General of Police through a letter to ensure heightened alertness among the police force. I advised strict action against those suspected to have links with terrorist activities, in coordination with the administrative apparatus.”

Pawan Kalyan further stressed the importance of monitoring migrant populations to prevent potential threats. He underscored the necessity for continuous surveillance and stringent monitoring in coastal regions as well. “There were earlier reports of unknown individuals arriving in boats in Kakinada. Movements and activities of unfamiliar persons along the coastline must be carefully tracked. The police must not be negligent in matters of internal security and should take appropriate precautionary measures,” he warned.

He also referred to recent intelligence findings from a joint operation conducted by the police forces of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, which reportedly uncovered traces of terrorist presence in the state. Given these developments, Pawan Kalyan suggested strengthening the surveillance system and urged the police not to show any complacency in matters of internal security.
