TDP Woman MLA Announces Five Months’ Salary as Donation to Indian Army
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) woman legislator Bhuma Akhila Priya has announced that she is donating five months of her salary to the Indian Army, as a mark of respect and patriotism. In a demonstration of solidarity with the armed forces, Bhuma Akhila Priya led a Tiranga Rally in Allagadda.
During the rally, Bhuma Akhila Priya paid floral tributes to Telugu soldier Murali Nayak, who was martyred in the war with Pakistan. The event also included a candlelight procession culminating at the statue of Potti Sreeramulu.
The rally witnessed the participation of people from all castes, religions, and political affiliations, showcasing a spirit of unity. Speaking at the event, Bhuma Akhila Priya remarked that it had been a long time since she had held the national flag and announced her decision to donate five months of her salary to the Indian Army.
