I Do Not Pick Unnecessary Fights, But Won’t Spare Those Who Target Us: Minister Nara Lokesh
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National General Secretary and Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh issued a strong warning that those who harassed TDP workers during the previous government’s tenure will not be spared under any circumstances. Referring to frequent mentions of the “Red Book” by party workers, Nara Lokesh stated that the party possesses detailed records of those responsible for the harassment and assured that action against them is inevitable.
“I do not pick unnecessary fights with anyone, but I will not tolerate it if someone targets us,” said Nara Lokesh in a stern remark.
Participating in a gathering of top-performing party workers at Ramarajupalli near Gooty in Guntakal constituency, Nara Lokesh was joined by Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Anantapur MP Ambika Lakshmi Narayana, Zone-5 Coordinator Kovelamudi Nani, Guntakal MLA Gummanuru Jayaram, and Anantapur Parliamentary TDP President Venkata Shivudu Yadav, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Nara Lokesh announced that the TDP’s membership registration program had achieved unprecedented success, securing a record one crore memberships—an accomplishment unmatched by any other political party in the country. He credited this extraordinary feat to the relentless effort and dedication of the party cadre. He lauded the workers of Guntakal constituency for carrying the party’s candidate on their shoulders and ensuring victory even though the candidate was announced just a month before the elections.
Nara Lokesh emphasized the need for harmony between senior and new-generation leaders within the party and asserted that priority must be given only to those who work hard. Urging members to stay away from factional politics, he called for united action under the single banner of Telugu Desam. He reminded the gathering that although he was defeated in the 2019 elections in Mangalagiri, he did not lose motivation and went on to rewrite history through determined efforts.
He advised party workers to set aside arrogance, stay connected with the public, and focus on resolving their issues. He instructed that all members must adhere to the party leadership’s decisions, and in cases of injustice, they should approach him or other senior leaders within the party. He also recommended that internal discussions be kept within the organization and, once outside, the rallying cry should be “Jai Telugu Desam.”
Upcoming “My TDP” App
Nara Lokesh announced the upcoming launch of a new application called “My TDP” following the Mahanadu event. The app is aimed at improving coordination and ensuring timely communication of party activities to the cadre. Through this app, information and messages will be delivered directly to workers at the KSS, booth, and cluster levels.
He also announced that mini-Mahanadu events will be held at the constituency level on May 18, 19, and 20, while the grand party Mahanadu will take place in Kadapa on May 27, 28, and 29. He urged all workers to participate enthusiastically in these events.
