Kollywood actor Jayam Ravi breaks silence on separation and Kenisha rumours

Prominent Tamil actor Jayam Ravi and his wife Aarti have been embroiled in an escalating divorce dispute. With the matter currently under judicial consideration, both parties have leveled serious allegations against each other. On Thursday, Jayam Ravi released a detailed letter denying the accusations made by Aarti, and in turn, accusing her of subjecting him to physical, emotional, and financial harassment. The letter has since become a topic of widespread discussion in the Kollywood industry.

Jayam Ravi had earlier publicly announced his separation from Aarti, and the two have been living apart ever since. Amid rumours about Jayam Ravi appearing alongside singer Kenisha at a wedding function, Aarti issued a statement in which she made several allegations against him. Among them, she claimed that Jayam Ravi was neglecting their children.

Jayam Ravi responded strongly to these claims. In the four-page letter released on Thursday, he dismissed all of Aarti’s accusations as baseless. He described Kenisha as a good person deserving of respect and dignity. He further remarked that his marital life with Aarti felt like a prison and stated that he now feels a sense of freedom after their separation.

"Physically, emotionally, psychologically, and ultimately even financially, Aarti caused me immense distress. While it pains me to speak about these matters, these are the facts. She even prevented me from meeting my own parents," Jayam Ravi expressed in the letter.

Furthermore, Jayam Ravi alleged that Aarti has been using their children as tools against him and engaging in false propaganda. "If false accusations are made against me, I will not remain silent. I have complete faith in the legal process," he stated. Ravi explained that he chose to walk away from the relationship because he believed it was better to exit than to continue under such circumstances. He noted that when he stepped out of the house, the word ‘former’ was etched into his mind, and it would remain that way for life.

The couple’s divorce case is currently being heard in court.
