Director Prem Kumar Receives Dream Car as a Gift from Suriya and Karthi

Kollywood brothers Suriya and Karthi have once again demonstrated their generosity by surprising director Prem Kumar, known for his acclaimed film 96, with a dream gift— a Mahindra Thar. The unexpected gesture left Prem Kumar overwhelmed with joy.

Prem Kumar directed the film Meiyazhagan (released in Telugu as Satyam Sundaram), which starred Karthi and Arvind Swami in lead roles. Released last year, the film was produced by Suriya and Jyothika. It was during the making of this project that Suriya and Karthi developed a strong bond with Prem Kumar.

In a heartfelt gesture, Suriya purchased a Mahindra Thar, the car most cherished by Prem Kumar, and had it presented to him by his brother Karthi. Expressing his gratitude on social media, Prem Kumar shared his emotional reaction to the surprise gift.

"The Mahindra Thar, especially the white Roxx AX 5L, 5-door version, has been my dream vehicle. I had been waiting a long time for it. When it was finally released, I wanted to buy it with the money I had saved. But after learning that booking it would mean waiting a whole year, and later having to spend my savings on other necessities, I had to let go of the dream," he wrote.

He further added, "Recently, I received a message from Suriya anna with a photo of my favorite car and the words ‘The car has arrived.’ At first, I didn’t understand what it meant. But seeing the photo left me astonished. Suriya anna had bought the car for me and gifted it through Karthi anna. I didn’t just receive a car—I felt that an elder brother had fulfilled his younger brother’s dream. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Suriya and Karthi."
