Producer Allu Aravind Announces Donation to Indian Army
In the wake of the ongoing tensions along the India-Pakistan border, noted film producer Allu Aravind has extended his support to the Indian armed forces. He announced that a portion of the revenue generated from his latest production, the film #Single, will be donated towards the welfare of Indian soldiers.
Allu Aravind made this announcement during the success meet of #Single held in Hyderabad. He stated that while soldiers are vigilantly guarding the nation's frontiers, it did not feel appropriate to celebrate the film’s success in a festive manner. He clarified that the press meet was convened solely to express gratitude to the audience for their support of the film.
Speaking at the event, Allu Aravind said, “When our soldiers are fighting for the country, it did not feel right for us to be celebrating here. In fact, we had finalized the release date of our film before the current tensions emerged. We even discussed whether or not to postpone the release. However, behind a film’s release are the efforts of hundreds of technicians and workers, and numerous families depend on theatres for their livelihood. Keeping these factors in mind, we released the film with the hope that no one would misunderstand our intent.”
The romantic comedy #Single, starring Sri Vishnu in the lead role, was well received by audiences. Allu Aravind reiterated that a portion of the film’s earnings will be contributed to the Indian Army.
