Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Father Reacts to His Son’s Historic Century

Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by scoring a spectacular century, smashing 100 runs off just 35 balls and shattering previous records. The 14-year-old prodigy from Bihar made his debut this season and powered Rajasthan Royals (RR) to victory after a series of defeats with his explosive innings in Jaipur during the 2025 season.

Following his son’s historic achievement, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, became emotional. He expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Rajasthan Royals' management and coaching staff for their crucial role in nurturing his son’s skills over the past few months. Sanjeev Suryavanshi especially thanked Head Coach Rahul Dravid, Batting Coach Vikram Rathour, along with Zubin Bharucha, Sairaj Bahutule, and Ruby for their guidance and support.

“This evening, Vaibhav scored a century in just 35 balls in the IPL match and led his team to victory. We are extremely happy about his success. Along with us, our entire region, district, Bihar state, and the whole nation rejoiced witnessing his brilliant batting. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Rajasthan Royals management and all the players who supported Vaibhav’s growth and success,” said Sanjeev Suryavanshi.

He stated that Rajasthan Royals had kept Vaibhav with the team over the past three to four months, providing him with exceptional training. Sanjeev Suryavanshi further remarked, “Head Coach Rahul Dravid Sir, Batting Coach Vikram Rathour Sir, Zubin Bharucha Sir, Sairaj Bahutule Sir, and Ruby Sir – all of them worked together to improve his game. Vaibhav also worked very hard, and today’s outstanding performance is the result of that effort.”

In addition, Sanjeev Suryavanshi conveyed his deep gratitude to Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) President Rakesh Tiwari, acknowledging his pivotal role in offering Vaibhav an opportunity to represent Bihar at a very young age. He said, “Vaibhav utilized that opportunity effectively and showcased his talent, reaching this milestone today.”
