Telangana Government Assigns Key Responsibilities to Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari
Telangana Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari is scheduled to retire from service on April 30. The state government has appointed senior Indian Administrative Service officer K. Ramakrishna Rao as the new Chief Secretary of the state.
Meanwhile, the government has entrusted Shanthi Kumari, who is about to retire, with significant responsibilities. According to official orders issued by the state government, she has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRDI). After stepping down from the Chief Secretary position, Shanthi Kumari will take up these new responsibilities.
In addition to the Vice Chairman role, she will also serve as the Director General (DG) of MCRHRDI, holding both positions simultaneously.
K. Ramakrishna Rao, currently serving as Special Chief Secretary of the Finance Department, belongs to the 1991 IAS batch. The government had been deliberating on the selection of a new Chief Secretary for some time. After reviewing the names of several officials based on the seniority list, the government reportedly decided on K. Ramakrishna Rao, taking into account his competence and experience.
