We Kept Our Promise: Pawan Kalyan Thanks Chandrababu
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has delivered welcome news for the fishing community in the state. It announced the doubling of financial assistance provided to fishermen during the marine fishing ban period. State Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed his satisfaction with this decision, stating that an election promise has now been fulfilled.

During a recent visit to Srikakulam district, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu officially launched the enhanced scheme. Previously, fishermen received ₹10,000 as financial aid during the fishing ban season. In a formal statement, Pawan Kalyan announced that the coalition government had increased this amount to ₹20,000.

“The promise made to fishermen has been kept. The coalition government under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has fulfilled the election commitment to double the fishing ban compensation,” said Pawan Kalyan. He explained that the increased compensation would be directly deposited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

According to him, this decision would benefit 1,29,178 fishing families across the state, and the government has allocated ₹259 crore for this initiative.

Pawan Kalyan further stated that the coalition government is taking measures to reduce the migration of fishermen by creating better employment opportunities locally. Emphasizing Andhra Pradesh’s extensive coastline, he said the government is taking steps to improve the economic security of fishing families by developing coastal areas.
