Hyderabad MLC Elections: MIM Secures Strong Victory

In the Hyderabad Local Authorities Constituency MLC elections, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) candidate Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi emerged victorious. He secured 63 votes, defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Gautam Rao, who received 25 votes. With a margin of 38 votes, Mirza Hassan won the seat, ensuring that the Hyderabad MLC position was claimed by MIM.

This election was held for the Hyderabad Local Authorities Constituency MLC seat for the first time in 22 years. The election garnered significant attention after the BJP unexpectedly fielded a candidate. The polling took place on the 23rd of this month, with a total of 112 voters. MIM had the highest number of votes among the contenders, followed by the BJP. MIM had 49 assured votes and also received support from other parties.
