AP lorry owners slam TS on entry tax

Hyderabad, April 2: Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners Association today slammed Telangana government for levying an entry tax on passenger and commercial vehicles. Stating that they are already facing difficulties, the lorry owners asked the Telangana government as to why is it troubling the common people for the sake of just Rs 40 crore revenue. "When it has come up with a budget of Rs 1 lakh crore, why is the Telangana government interested in collecting just Rs 40 crore revenue?" they asked. For the sake of minimal revenue, the TS government is raking up controversies, the lorry owners said. "Such decisions will create problems among the people of the two Telugu states," they said.
