Aspiring Singer Pravasthi Disputes Playback Singer Sunitha’s Claims in New YouTube Video
Aspiring singer Pravasthi has released a new video responding to the statements made by playback singer Sunitha and producer Praveen. In the video uploaded to her YouTube channel, Pravasthi addressed several pointed questions to Sunitha and urged her to provide answers.
"Sunitha garu, you spoke so well in the reel—if only you had acted the same in real life, this situation would not have arisen," began Pravasthi, setting the tone for her questions. She claimed that she had selected a song as per the channel’s guidelines and completed her rehearsals, only to be later told that she could not perform it. However, she alleged that the same song was performed by another contestant in the same episode and encouraged by the judges. She questioned the rationale behind this inconsistency.
She further criticized what she described as a premature judgement, alleging that the decision to reject her performance of the song Kanyakumari was made even before she could start singing. Pravasthi raised additional questions about the selection process, asking how contestants who forgot lyrics or had lyrics written on their hands were able to advance to the finals.
Pravasthi clarified that she did not receive the opportunity to sing on Mango Video through Sunitha, but rather through her mentor Nihal Kondoori. She disputed Sunitha’s statement that she had ensured Pravasthi returned home safely, asserting that her mother was not with her that day.
Further, Pravasthi expressed her distress over certain remarks made by music composer M. M. Keeravani, who had reportedly commented that singers who perform at weddings are not real artists. She said such statements were hurtful and questioned what was wrong in bringing them to light.
Revealing personal details, Pravasthi stated that she is 19 years old and had given up her education to pursue music. She said she has been participating in competitions since the age of five. Clarifying her emotional state, she said, "I am not in depression, I am only questioning the injustice."
Pravasthi emphasized that she holds no personal grudge against Sunitha and has always admired her as a singer. She also mentioned that while she refrained from naming certain individuals, it was incorrectly reported that she had done so.
