Terrorists Asking Victims' Religion Before Killing Is Horrific: Asaduddin Owaisi

Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad today, Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that the incident was the result of a grave intelligence failure and demanded that the Narendra Modi-led central government take full responsibility for the security lapse.

Describing the Pahalgam incident as a “massacre,” Asaduddin Owaisi stated that the terrorists brutally killed innocent people after asking them about their religion. “In Pahalgam, terrorists indiscriminately killed innocent people after inquiring about their religion. We strongly condemn this heinous act. It clearly points to a serious intelligence failure,” he said.

Asaduddin Owaisi expressed deep sorrow over the attack, saying it was even more dangerous and tragic than past incidents such as the Uri and Pulwama attacks. He insisted that the central government must take stringent action against those responsible.

“The government must ensure justice for the victims’ families at the earliest. Terrorists must be taught a strong lesson,” said Asaduddin Owaisi. He reiterated his condemnation of the attack, noting that it was particularly despicable for the assailants to arrive in military attire and deliberately target innocent tourists. He urged the central government to impose the harshest possible punishment on the perpetrators.

The attack occurred on Tuesday in the Pahalgam area of Anantnag district, a region known as “Mini Switzerland.” The terrorists opened fire on tourists who were visiting the popular Baisaran region, causing widespread fear and outrage.
