Pakistani Terrorist Mastermind Behind Pahalgam Attack

Authorities suspect that the mastermind behind the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam is a Pakistani national and top commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Saifullah Sajid Jutt. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has previously identified Saifullah as a hardened extremist. Officials stated that he maintains close ties with senior officers in Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and military. It has been reported that Saifullah is currently operating from the Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters in Islamabad.

According to official accounts regarding the Pahalgam incident, the terrorists emerged from nearby mountainous regions and initially demanded identification cards from the tourists. Allegations suggest that this was an attempt to differentiate between Muslims and non-Muslims. Following this, the assailants separated the men and opened fire on them for approximately five minutes. The attack resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists.

At the scene, investigators recovered AK-47 rifle cartridges as well as bullets capable of penetrating armor. The Indian Army described the assault on innocent civilians and tourists as a cowardly act.
