Singer Sunitha Responds to Pravasti’s Allegations, Urges Full Disclosure
Singer Sunitha, a prominent playback singer and judge on several reality television shows, has responded strongly to the allegations made by aspiring singer Pravasti. Reacting to the accusations, Sunitha categorically rejected Pravasti's claims and stated that the latter was personally attributing all matters to herself. Sunitha remarked, “It would be better if everything was disclosed to the audience.”
Speaking on the issue, Sunitha recalled affectionately embracing Pravasti when she was a child, but emphasized that such gestures would not be appropriate at her current age. She stated, “In competitions, whenever someone sings well, we all get deeply involved and moved emotionally.” Sunitha claimed that Pravasti did not properly observe the episodes in question.
Sunitha also questioned Pravasti’s awareness of the competition process, asking, “You’ve participated in several contests, haven’t you? Don’t you know how the process works?”
Addressing the structure of music programs, Sunitha highlighted the technical limitations faced by television channels. She explained, “Channels have certain restrictions when it comes to music. Therefore, not all songs can be performed. Only songs for which rights have been secured can be included in the competition.” She advised Pravasti that informing the audience about these limitations would be beneficial and added, “If you do that, I would be truly happy.”
Expressing disappointment, Sunitha said she was dissatisfied with Pravasti for speaking publicly about their team in such a manner.
