Raj Kasireddy Apprehended at Hyderabad Airport in Liquor Scam Case
In a significant development in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam case, the Andhra Pradesh Special Investigation Team (SIT) police have taken Raj Kasireddy, a key accused in the case, into custody.
Raj Kasireddy had personally revealed that he would appear before the SIT for questioning tomorrow, citing delays in the High Court's hearing of his anticipatory bail petition. However, shortly after his announcement, the police apprehended him, a move that drew attention due to its timing.
According to sources, the Andhra Pradesh SIT police detained Raj Kasireddy at the Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad. He had just returned from Dubai, and officials, reportedly acting on precise intelligence, intercepted and apprehended him upon arrival.
The Andhra Pradesh police are expected to bring Raj Kasireddy to Vijayawada shortly for further investigation.
