Woman Climbs AIG Hospital Building in Suicide Threat Over Job Termination
A former female employee of AIG Hospital stirred panic on Saturday in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, by climbing a building under construction and threatening to commit suicide. The woman, identified as Shivalila, alleged that she was dismissed from her job without cause and demanded assurance from the hospital management to step down.

According to the information available, Shivalila previously worked as a contract housekeeping supervisor at AIG Hospital. She reportedly told her colleagues that she would end her life and climbed onto the hospital's under-construction building. From there, she threatened to jump unless the hospital management provided her with reassurance regarding her concerns.

The incident quickly attracted a crowd, including hospital staff and local residents, which disrupted traffic movement in the area. Upon being alerted, Sub-Inspector Ramesh from Banjara Hills Police Station, along with officials from the fire department, rushed to the spot and began negotiating with Shivalila.

During the discussions, Shivalila told authorities that she was suddenly removed from her duties without any notice and further claimed that a fellow employee, also named Ramesh, had been harassing her and belittling her. The standoff continued for nearly three hours before police managed to bring the situation under control.

Subsequently, the police took Shivalila into custody and transported both her and the accused employee, Ramesh, to the police station for inquiry. It is reported that the interrogation continued until late in the evening. However, the police later informed the media that Shivalila did not file any formal complaint.
