Case Registered Against Bhumana Karunakar Reddy
The Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) Police in Tirupati have registered a case against former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman and YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy.
TTD Board member Bhanuprakash Reddy lodged a formal complaint with Superintendent of Police Harshavardhan Raju, alleging that Bhumana Karunakar Reddy had made false accusations regarding the TTD Gosala, thereby hurting the sentiments of devotees.
According to the complaint submitted on Tuesday, Bhanuprakash Reddy stated that Bhumana Karunakar Reddy had falsely claimed that 100 cows had died at the SV Gosala and alleged that the sacred Gosala had been turned into a slaughterhouse. The complaint demanded strict action against Bhumana Karunakar Reddy for these remarks.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against Bhumana Karunakar Reddy under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 353(1), 299, and 74, as per available information.
