Moved by Elderly Woman, Pawan Kalyan Sends Footwear to Entire Tribal Village

As part of the Adivi Thalli Baata initiative, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited Pedapadu, an Adivasi village in Dumbriguda Mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district, on the 7th of this month.

During the visit, an elderly woman named Paangi Miththu walked up to Pawan Kalyan to greet him, despite not wearing any footwear. Moved by the sight of her walking barefoot to welcome him, the Deputy Chief Minister took immediate action.

He promptly instructed staff from the employment guarantee scheme to conduct a survey in the village to determine the total number of residents and their respective shoe sizes. Following this, on Thursday, his office distributed footwear to 345 individuals.

Later that night, staff from the Deputy Chief Minister’s office, along with Boyipalli Pawan, team members, and the local village sarpanch Venkatarao, went door to door in Pedapadu to distribute the footwear.

Expressing their happiness, the tribal residents conveyed their gratitude to Pawan Kalyan for recognizing their hardship and addressing it. Women in the village were seen smiling as they wore the new footwear.
