BCCI Alerts IPL Players About Hyderabad-based Businessman’s Links to Betting Syndicate
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), through its Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU), has issued a formal advisory to players, coaches, support staff, and commentators. The warning pertains to a Hyderabad-based businessman who is allegedly connected to illegal betting networks.
According to the ACSU, this individual has been attempting to establish relationships with those involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL), including players and other personnel. The advisory stated that the businessman is reportedly exerting pressure on individuals to engage in activities that are against the law.
The ACSU cautioned that the businessman is known to offer expensive gifts and jewelry in an effort to befriend and build connections with individuals associated with IPL teams. It was also mentioned that he has already succeeded in forming associations with some individuals through these means.
Furthermore, the BCCI advisory noted that the businessman has been spotted posing as a fan at match venues and in hotels where IPL teams are staying. This revelation has sparked concern within the IPL circuit, leading to significant buzz across social media platforms. Discussions are actively circulating online regarding the identity of the businessman in question.
