Harish Rao Reveals Gunman’s Tragedy, Warns Youth Against Betting Apps
Incidents of people losing their lives due to an obsession with betting apps are becoming increasingly frequent. Many individuals are taking loans to participate in online betting and, unable to repay them, are resorting to suicide. Former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Harish Rao has recently issued a strong warning to youth on this matter.

Speaking on the dangers of online betting, Harish Rao revealed a tragic incident involving one of his own security personnel. He stated that a man who worked as his gunman lost a significant amount of money on betting apps and fell deeply into debt. With no way to repay the loans, the man shot and killed his wife and two children—aged five and seven—with his service weapon. He then turned the gun on himself and died by suicide, Harish Rao said.

Cautioning young people, Harish Rao urged them to stay away from betting apps. "No shortcut can make us wealthy," he said. He emphasized that the operators of betting apps are not providing them to help people win or become millionaires, but are running them solely to make money for themselves. He advised that the farther the youth stay from online betting apps, the better it is for their well-being.
