BSF Helps Reunite Missing Man from Andhra Pradesh with Family

A man from Andhra Pradesh who had been missing for three months was found wandering near the Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir and was safely returned home by the Border Security Force (BSF). His family expressed immense relief and gratitude to the BSF personnel for reuniting them with their loved one.

According to a statement released by the Border Security Force, the individual, identified as Venkata Rao (50), a resident of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, had been untraceable for the past three months. Despite the efforts of his family to locate him, there had been no leads.

Recently, while patrolling the Akhnoor sector near the international border in Jammu and Kashmir, BSF personnel noticed a man moving suspiciously in the area. Upon questioning, the individual was unable to clearly communicate his identity or details.

Recognizing the need to assist, BSF officials took special care to trace the man’s background and identify his family. After thorough efforts, they successfully located his family and informed them of his whereabouts. Venkata Rao was then handed over to his relatives.

The family of Venkata Rao expressed heartfelt thanks to the BSF for their humane and timely intervention. In its official statement, the Border Security Force highlighted that this incident once again demonstrates the commitment of its personnel not only to national security but also to their sense of social responsibility.
