IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals Restricted to Modest Total Despite Jaiswal's 75
Rajasthan Royals failed to post a big total despite a strong innings from opener Yashasvi Jaiswal in their home match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Jaipur. Batting first after losing the toss, Rajasthan managed to score only 173 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Captain Sanju Samson was dismissed early for 15 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal, however, played an aggressive innings in his characteristic style, scoring 75 runs off 47 balls, including 10 fours and 2 sixes. His innings came to an end when Josh Hazlewood trapped him leg before wicket.
The middle-order batters failed to capitalize on Jaiswal’s strong start. Riyan Parag contributed 30 runs, while Shimron Hetmyer managed only 9. Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 35 runs.
Among the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Josh Hazlewood, and Krunal Pandya each took one wicket.
