Tragic Road Accident in Sri Sathya Sai District Claims Three Lives

In a tragic road accident in the Sri Sathya Sai district, three women lost their lives when an unidentified vehicle collided with an auto-rickshaw and fled the scene without stopping. The incident occurred on the national highway near Dhanapuram Cross in Parigi Mandal.

According to the police, the auto was carrying 14 passengers at the time of the accident. The impact left three women dead and six others seriously injured. The injured were immediately shifted to the Hindupur hospital for treatment.

The deceased were identified as Alivelamma, Adilakshmamma, and Shakamma, all residents of Dodagatta village in Roddam Mandal. The victims were returning from a visit to the Kotipi Chowdeshwari temple when the accident took place.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination.

The accident has cast a pall of gloom over Dodagatta village, as all three victims belonged to the same community.
