TS tax on AP vehicles halts 800 buses from plying to Hyd

Hyderabad, March 31, 2015: Private tourist operators , operating their services between Hyderabad and AP towns , have decided to stop plying their services from tomorrow to protest against the TS Government's decision to tax AP vehicles. With this, more than 800 tourist buses, carrying people in thousands regularly from AP to Telangana cities,mostly to Hyderabad, would be halted from this evening. Reservations in several towns across AP have already been stopped by tourist operators for those travelling to Hyderabad and other towns in TS. With this, people are flocking to RTC buses. There was heavy rush at several RTC bus depots and stations for reserving tickets. The private bus operators have decided to move the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad tomorrow opposing the TS Government's decision to impose transport tax on AP vehicles. Meanwhile, AP transport minister Siddha Raghava Rao has appealed to TS Chief Minister KCR to reconsider his decision to tax AP vehicles.
