Just One Word Is Enough... MLA Gouthu Shirisha's Emotional Post About Producer Ashwini Dutt

Telugu Desam Party legislator Gouthu Shirisha, known for her active role in politics, drew attention with an emotional social media post about renowned Telugu film producer Ashwini Dutt.
In her post, Gouthu Shirisha wrote, “There are no Telugu-speaking people or cinema lovers who are unaware of Vyjayanthi Movies and Ashwini Dutt. During the 1980s and 1990s, many actors believed that a film under this banner meant guaranteed success. Though generations and tastes have changed, this production house continues to deliver films rooted in the same values and has won the hearts of today’s youth as well, with the recent success of 'Sita Ramam' being a prime example.”
She continued, “Why am I saying all this now? Four years ago, during my struggle against then Animal Husbandry Minister Appalaraju—I received a phone call. I heard someone say, ‘I am Ashwini Dutt speaking.’ How could I have imagined that such a prominent person would call me? I couldn’t believe it. As a young woman fighting my own battles, being the granddaughter of Gouthu Latchanna, he encouraged me saying, ‘You’re working very hard, keep moving forward.’ I was so astonished that I even checked the number on Truecaller afterwards, just to be sure it was really him.”
“Over the last five years, he occasionally sent messages or called me to offer moral support, saying he had been following my efforts. He even sent me a video urging people to support and elect me. Today, I met him for the first time in person. I thought it was an honor that someone of his stature would grant me an appointment, but the warmth and affection he showed will remain unforgettable. He said, ‘The daughter of our house has come home,’ and that one sentence is enough for me to cherish for a lifetime.”
Gouthu Shirisha further expressed, “At a time when most relationships seem driven by some form of need, his invitation to us as a couple, and the way he introduced us to his family, was deeply touching. In an age where we assume every gesture is need-based, it's heartening to know that there are still elders who show selfless affection and care.”
She concluded her post by saying, “Thank you, sir, for your heartfelt welcome, your warm hospitality, and above all, your unwavering moral support. A person’s greatness is not measured by their wealth, but by their character—and you are a true example of that.” Gouthu Shirisha also shared photographs from her meeting with Ashwini Dutt.
