Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu attended the Sitarama Kalyanam Mahotsavam this evening at the Sri Kodanda Ramaswamy Temple in Ontimitta, accompanied by his wife, Nara Bhuvaneshwari. Representing the state government, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu offered pattu vastralu (silken garments) to Lord Sitarama.
Prior to the ceremony, temple authorities, including TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Tirumala Temple Executive Officer Shyamal Rao, and other officials, welcomed Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister and Nara Bhuvaneshwari attended the spiritual celebration dressed in traditional attire.
As part of the temple’s rituals, Vedic scholars honored Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu with a ceremonial talapaga (turban). Carrying the silken garments on their heads, the Chief Minister and his wife performed a pradakshina (circumambulation) around the sanctum.
After presenting the garments, temple priests offered Veda Ashirvachanam (Vedic blessings) and showered akshinthalu (sacred rice) on the couple. They were then presented with tirtha prasadam (holy offerings). A special memento featuring an image of Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana was gifted to the Chief Minister and his wife. Following these events, they participated in the Sitarama Kalyanam Mahotsavam.
