Sharmila Responds to Kiran's Abusive Remarks on Sister-in-law Bharathi Reddy

Andhra Pradesh Congress President Y.S. Sharmila responded strongly to objectionable remarks made by Chebrolu Kiran, an I-TDP activist, against YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife, Y.S. Bharathi Reddy.
Sharmila described the comments made against Y.S. Bharathi Reddy on social media as deeply distressing. "Such vile remarks are equivalent to acts of terrorism," she stated. Expressing outrage, she added, "There would be nothing wrong if such psycho individuals were hanged in public."
Sharmila further emphasized that strict action must be taken against those who make slanderous statements and against YouTube channels that promote such individuals merely for ratings. “I demand that the coalition government act on this issue, as a fellow woman,” Sharmila said. “Society does not tolerate such despicable acts. Regardless of the political party or stature of those involved, they must be punished.”
She alleged that the culture of personal defamation exists solely in Andhra Pradesh and blamed both the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for fostering it. According to Sharmila, the YSRCP and TDP have inspired the “army of demons” that now post obscene content on social media.
She stated that these parties had misused power and behaved without dignity, forgetting familial bonds and dragging entire families into political vendettas. “They questioned people’s birth, derived perverse pleasure from it, and even targeted innocent children who know no right or wrong. They made baseless allegations of illicit relationships.”
Sharmila said that those “Kalaykeyas” (a reference to mythological demons), nurtured and promoted by these parties, have now corrupted the very system. She urged all political parties to unite to eradicate this toxic culture.
