Medak District Collector Turns Farm Laborer, Sieves Paddy at Procurement Centre

Rahul Raj, the Collector of Medak district in Telangana, briefly assumed the role of a farm laborer and drew widespread attention. At a paddy procurement center, he personally operated the sieve, highlighting his proactive approach.

Accompanied by Additional Collector Nagesh, Rahul Raj inspected the IKP (Indira Kranthi Patham) procurement center located in Patur village of Medak mandal. During this visit, the Collector and accompanying officials actively participated in various tasks at the center. Notably, the Collector himself sieved the harvested paddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Raj stated that a total of 480 procurement centers had been established across the district. He informed that paddy cleaners were available at all centers. He urged farmers to sell their paddy only at government-established procurement centers and cautioned them not to fall prey to middlemen.

Previously, Rahul Raj had surprised many by transplanting paddy saplings himself in Aurangabad village.
