Centre releases Rs.1500 Cr for construction of AP Capital city

New Delhi, March 31, 2015:Under the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act, the Centre has released Rs.1500 Cr for the construction of AP capital city. Out of the released amount, Rs.1000 Cr is to be spent on creating essential amenities for the state capital and Rs.500 Cr on constructing State Assembly, Secretariat, High Court and Raj Bhavan. The release of funds followed hectic lobbying by AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who went to Delhi recently and met the Prime Minister and several Union Ministers in this regard.
