Virat Kohli on the Verge of a Rare Record in IPL

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star player Virat Kohli is on the brink of achieving a rare milestone in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In fact, he is poised to create a new record. If he hits just two more boundaries, he will become the first player in IPL history to reach 1,000 boundaries.

The "run machine" has so far played 265 matches, during which he has struck 278 sixes and 720 fours—totaling 998 boundaries. With just two more boundaries, Kohli will reach the 1,000-mark milestone. Whether Virat Kohli achieves this feat in today's match against Delhi Capitals (DC) will be known shortly.

In the list of most boundaries in the IPL, Virat Kohli is currently at the top. He is followed by Shikhar Dhawan with 920 boundaries, David Warner with 899, Rohit Sharma with 885, and Chris Gayle with 761.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has been in outstanding form this season. In the four matches played so far, he has scored 164 runs at an average of 54.66 and a strike rate of 143.85. This includes two half-centuries.
