Police Arrest Chebrolu Kiran After TDP Files Complaint Over Remarks on Jagan's Wife

Chebrolu Kiran, an ITDP worker, was arrested by Mangalagiri Rural Police Station officers for making inappropriate comments about YS Bharati, the wife of YSRCP leader YS Jagan. Police took Kiran into custody near Ibrahimpatnam in Vijayawada based on cell tower location data.
The TDP leadership took serious action against Kiran for his inappropriate comments about Bharati, suspending him from the party. The leadership also suggested filing a police complaint. Following this directive, TDP leaders themselves filed a complaint with the police, which led to Kiran's arrest.
It is known that YS Jagan had earlier issued warnings during his visit to Ramagiri, threatening to "strip police officers of their uniforms." Against this backdrop, Chebrolu Kiran made inappropriate comments about Bharati. However, he later apologized, stating, "I request forgiveness if my words have hurt anyone." He claimed that the comments were not made with any malicious intent but rather in a momentary fit of emotion.
