Dry Day in Hyderabad: Bars, Wine Shops to Shut on April 12
In a development that will disappoint liquor consumers in Hyderabad, authorities have announced that all liquor outlets and bars in the city will be closed on Saturday, April 12, in observance of Hanuman Jayanti.
According to orders issued by the police, liquor shops, bars, and toddy compounds across Hyderabad will be shut from 6:00 AM on April 12 until 6:00 AM on April 13. This directive has been issued as part of precautionary measures during the religious festivities.
Police have emphasized that the order applies not only to wine shops and bars but also to toddy outlets. A similar closure was previously enforced during the recent Sri Rama Navami celebrations.
