IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans Smash 217 Against Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad

A dominant innings by opener Sai Sudharsan enabled Gujarat Titans to post a massive total in their Indian Premier League 2025 clash against Rajasthan Royals. The match, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, saw Gujarat Titans bat first after Rajasthan Royals won the toss and chose to bowl.

Captain Shubman Gill, who opened the innings, was dismissed early for just 2 runs. However, Sai Sudharsan, a left-handed batsman, partnered with Jos Buttler to rebuild the innings with aggressive intent. The duo added 80 runs for the second wicket, laying a strong foundation for Gujarat’s innings.

Sai Sudharsan played a commanding knock, scoring 82 runs off 53 balls. His innings included eight boundaries and three sixes, with strokes dispatched to all corners of the ground, showcasing his power-hitting ability.

Jos Buttler contributed 36 runs, while Shahrukh Khan also added 36. Rahul Tewatia remained unbeaten with a quick-fire 24 runs, further boosting the team’s total. By the end of their 20 overs, Gujarat Titans had scored 217 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Among Rajasthan Royals' bowlers, Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana each claimed two wickets, while Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma picked up one wicket apiece.
