Centre Plans Major Highway Project Between Amaravati and Hyderabad

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre has delivered a significant announcement for the two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In a major infrastructure push to improve connectivity between the states, the central government has decided to construct a Greenfield Express Highway between Hyderabad and Amaravati.

According to available information, the planning process for this major project has already commenced. As part of this initiative, the Centre has now given the green signal for road construction. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) are being prepared, and construction work is expected to begin soon.

In addition, the long-anticipated Amaravati Ring Road is also expected to be launched shortly. As part of the larger connectivity strategy, the government has resolved to approve the construction of the Greenfield Express Highway starting from the northern side of the Amaravati Ring Road. Planning efforts for this segment are also currently underway.
