Jagan Claims Police Are Intimidating Party Workers, Vows Action if Elected

YSRCP President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy toured the Raptadu constituency in Sri Sathya Sai district today. During the visit, he met with the family of Lingamayyah, a YSRCP worker who was recently murdered, and offered his condolences.

Speaking to the media afterward, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on the police. “We will strip and beat the police,” he said, issuing a severe warning that if the YSRCP returns to power, “we will remove their uniforms and throw them out of their jobs.”

He alleged that the police were acting in favor of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and intimidating YSRCP members. He stated, “The TDP is using the police to terrorize YSRCP workers.”

Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy assured Lingamayyah’s family of full support in all aspects. He claimed that law and order in the state had deteriorated and said, “It is as if a Red Book Constitution is being followed here.”

Referring to local body elections, he claimed that the TDP suffered a setback. “Out of 50 elections held, the YSRCP won in 39 places,” he said, alleging that despite lacking strength, the TDP was still contesting elections.

Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the current administration of running the government by relying on the police. He alleged that N. Chandrababu Naidu was acting with arrogance as the Chief Minister and behaving like a dictator.

He also criticized what he described as politically motivated legal actions. “False cases have been filed against Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy,” he said. He further alleged, “Eighteen false cases have been registered against Posani Krishna Murali to harass him,” and that “Nandigam Suresh was imprisoned for 145 days due to false charges.”

Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy stated, “All these are crimes jointly committed by the government and the police.”
