Chandrababu’s Muppalla Visit Raises Security Concerns

Security lapses occurred during the visit of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu to Muppalla on Saturday. Chandra Babu Naidu is one of the leaders provided protection by central security forces, which necessitates strict surveillance of all movements around him. However, during this visit, several individuals managed to approach the Chief Minister without proper clearance, prompting questions about their identities.

At the helipad set up near the Praja Vedika in Muppalla, individuals unrelated to the official schedule freely approached Chandra Babu Naidu and took photographs with him. One such person, identified as a YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader from a village in Kanchikacherla mandal, presented a bouquet to Chandra Babu Naidu and prostrated at his feet.

Additionally, another person employed by a prominent YSRCP leader was seen moving around the helipad and other areas, drawing significant criticism. Authorities had designated specific names for the welcome and introduction ceremony at the helipad, and only those individuals were to be permitted entry. However, others also gained access, prompting officials to begin collecting further details.

Criticism has emerged over the perceived negligence of police officials, with allegations that their indifferent attitude enabled unrestricted access to the Chief Minister. “Anyone could approach the Chief Minister due to the police’s negligence,” critics claimed.
