Telugu Students Narrowly Escape Fire Accident in the United States

A major fire accident occurred in Birmingham, United States, on Saturday evening, causing significant panic among residents. The incident took place at an apartment complex on Kellam Street at around 6:20 PM. Ten Telugu students who were residing in the building narrowly escaped with their lives.

According to reports, the fire broke out suddenly in the apartment complex, quickly spreading thick smoke throughout the premises. The students, unable to breathe properly, began screaming in fear. Emergency services responded swiftly, initiating rescue operations and bringing the fire under control. Firefighters successfully evacuated the students who were trapped inside the apartment.

Two students sustained serious injuries and were immediately transported to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. The remaining students suffered minor injuries and are reported to be safe at present.

All the affected individuals are students from the Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, currently pursuing higher education at the University of Alabama. The students stated that they initially tried to extinguish the flames, but as the fire spread rapidly, they had to flee the building in panic. They added that they escaped through the back door and described their survival as a second life.

The fire completely destroyed the apartment complex, leaving the students without shelter. Local Telugu associations and university officials have stepped forward to assist the students. Efforts are currently underway to provide them with temporary accommodation and other essential support.
