Smriti Irani lays foundation stones for IIT, IIIT & IISER near Tirupati

Tirupati, March 28: Union Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and other Central and State Ministers laid the foundation stones for three premier education institutes near Panguru of Yerpedu mandal near Tirupati on Saturday. The three institutions are the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). Speaking on the occasion at Panguru, Chandrababu Naidu said in future Tirupati will become the education and knowledge hubs. Stating that despite not having any facilities in the state, Chandrababu said the responsibility of transforming Andhra Pradesh into a number one state lies on him. He then said the state will become number one in the country by 2029 and by 2050, the state will become top in the world. Expressing his belief that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will help the state to grow, the chief minister said with the intervention of Union minister Venkaiah Naidu justice can be done to the state.
