Missing farm university professor returns home

Hyderabad, March 28: Prof Spandana Bhatt of Assistant Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University returned home safely three days after she went missing, police said. The 27-year-old assistant professor had left a suicide note with the university's librarian before disappearing from Hyderabad. Mailardevpally police were on their toes ever since Spandana disappeared from the university. Spandana is said to have gone to Pune via Zaheerabad in order to escape from her husband Yadu Bhushan's torture. Spandana and Yadu were married one year ago and the young man was found to be jobless. Yadu was splugring from his dowry money. A frustrated Spandana, who failed to bring a change in her husband's behaviour, left home with a view to end her life. Meanwhile, on a complaint filed by Spandana's parents the police had formed special teams and followed Spandana to Zaheerabad, from where she is said to have made her last call. However, the police could not trace her further as Spandana had switched off her cell phone. After further investigations, they learnt that the assistant professor had gone to Pune. Following her return, Spandana's parents withdrew their police complaint.
