Who Are the Highest and Lowest Paid Captains in IPL 2025?

With just four days remaining for the start of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), discussions about the salaries of team captains are trending online. The 18th season of the tournament will begin on March 22 at Eden Gardens, where defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

In IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant is set to be the highest-paid skipper, earning ₹27 crore. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Ajinkya Rahane will receive the lowest salary among captains, at ₹1.5 crore.

Following Pant, Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain Shreyas Iyer is the second-highest earner with ₹26.75 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson will each earn ₹18 crore.

Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Axar Patel and Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill will receive ₹16.5 crore each, while Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya’s salary stands at ₹16.35 crore. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar will earn ₹11 crore in the upcoming season.
