Vikranth Reddy is the Key Figure in Kakinada Port Deal: Vijayasai Reddy

Former Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy has made sensational allegations regarding the Kakinada Port share transfer case, claiming that Vikranth Reddy, son of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Rajya Sabha member Y.V. Subba Reddy, is the key person behind the entire deal. These remarks were made following his recent questioning by the Crime Investigation Department (CID).
Speaking to the media after the interrogation, Vijayasai Reddy stated that the Kakinada Port transaction involved several masterminds and key players, with Vikranth Reddy being a central figure. He informed CID officials that he knew Vikranth Reddy as the son of Y.V. Subba Reddy and admitted to introducing businessman K.V. Rao to Vikranth Reddy through a common friend. However, he asserted that he had no financial dealings with K.V. Rao, the port owner.
Vijayasai Reddy also revealed that CID officials asked him whether their investigation was aimed at protecting YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. In response, he stated that Jagan Mohan Reddy had no connection to the case.
According to Vijayasai Reddy, K.V. Rao and Y.V. Subba Reddy share a close association. He alleged that whenever Y.V. Subba Reddy visited the United States, he stayed at a mansion in California owned by K.V. Rao. He reiterated that Jagan Mohan Reddy was not involved in the port deal and described the case as politically motivated.
He further claimed that K.V. Rao had informed their common friends that Vikranth Reddy was solely responsible for handling the port share transaction from start to finish. Vijayasai Reddy asserted that he had a complete understanding of the matter and would disclose all details when the time was right. He also expressed his strong dislike for K.V. Rao, labeling him a political broker.
Regarding his current activities, Vijayasai Reddy mentioned that he is now engaged in farming. He remarked that while he once had devotion to a political leader, his faith is now in God. He refuted allegations that he had succumbed to any inducements, clarifying that Jagan Mohan Reddy had accused him of doing so, but he denied the claim. He added that he would not be concerned about any future criticism or accusations directed at him.
