Kodali Nani Gets Partial Relief from Andhra Pradesh High Court
Former MLA Kodali Nani has received partial relief from the Andhra Pradesh High Court in a case registered against him. Following the formation of the coalition government in the state, several YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders have approached the courts fearing arrests in various cases.
In November last year, a case was filed against Kodali Nani at the Visakhapatnam Three Town Police Station based on complaints that he had made objectionable remarks on social media against N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Lokesh during the previous government’s tenure.
Kodali Nani filed a quash petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, seeking dismissal of the case. After reviewing the petition, the court provided him with partial relief, directing the police not to take any hasty action. The court instructed the authorities to issue notices under Section 35(3) and gather necessary details before proceeding further.
