Guntur CID Issues PT Warrant Against Posani Krishna Murali, Delaying His Release

Prominent actor and screenwriter Posani Krishna Murali’s release has been unexpectedly halted after the Guntur CID police issued a prisoner transit (PT) warrant against him.

Posani was arrested for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, Pawan Kalyan, and their family members. On the previous day, the Kurnool court had granted him bail on a bond of ₹20,000 and two sureties. A day earlier, the Narasaraopet district court had also approved his bail, leading to expectations that he would be released today.

However, in an unexpected turn of events, the Guntur CID police issued a PT warrant against Posani. Officials from the CID arrived at Kurnool District Jail, where he is currently lodged. As per legal procedures, Posani will now be presented virtually before the judge instead of being released.

Due to this development, his release has been postponed indefinitely.
