Somu Veerraju Named BJP MLC Candidate in Andhra Pradesh

The candidates for the five MLC seats under the MLA quota in Andhra Pradesh have been finalized. As per the alliance agreement, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will contest three seats, while the Jana Sena Party (JSP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest one seat each. The BJP high command has officially announced that former Andhra Pradesh BJP president Somu Veerraju will be its candidate for the MLA quota MLC election. Somu Veerraju has previously served as an MLC.

The alliance candidates are expected to file their nominations shortly. The TDP has fielded Beeda Ravichandra, Kavali Greshma, and BT Naidu, while the Jana Sena Party has nominated Naga Babu.

Polling for these five MLC seats under the MLA quota is scheduled to take place on March 20, and vote counting will be conducted on the same day.
