Chandrababu directs CMO not to pay salaries to AP-averse IAS, IPS officers
Hyderabad, March 25, 2015: In a baffling move, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has ordered his office not to pay salaries to the IAS and IPS officers who have not reported for duty even after the Centre issued orders allotting them to the state.
8 IAS officers and 2 IPS officers have not reported for duty to serve AP Government after Centre issued orders allotting them to AP. They approached CAT and got stay orders over the Centre's diktats.
"If they return for duty on or before April 1, it is okay. However, if they do not turn up before that date, we have strict instructions from the CM to hold up their salaries, " said a top CMO official.
These ten officers are showing aversion to take up service with AP Government for various reasons. They included Somesh Kumar, Poonam Malakondaiah, A. Vani Prasad and G.Vani Mohan.
